Media Accreditation For 2013 ASICS LA Marathon Now Available

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Registration for media who will cover the 2013 ASICS LA Marathon is now available for the March 17 race.
Media accreditation is required for admission to the Marathon media workroom at the LA Convention Center from Thursday, March 14 - Saturday, March 16 and to the race-day media center in the Wedgewood Ballroom of the Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica. Credentials will also be required to access designated photo and/or media areas at the start and finish line. Application for accreditation is simple and requires only a brief email message to be sent as shown below.
News media who wish to apply for media accreditation for the Marathon need only send a short message to email@example.com with the name of the media organization represented, name and function. For this year's race, two types of credentials will be issued: "media" will be for print, online, broadcast reporters and editors; "photographer" will be for TV camera crews, still photographers and videographers. Please state clearly which credential you are requesting.

Any of the following special requests must also be noted in your request: (1) for a seat on the men's or women's on-course photo truck, (2) for access to the elevated photo area at the starting line, (3) for access to the photo bridge at the finish line or (4) for a tabled seat at the Fairmont Miramar on race day. Please note, seating on the on-course photo trucks will be limited. Further information regarding photo trucks and other limited-access photography areas will be provided during the credentialing process.
We must receive application messages no later than 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Monday, March 4, 2013. Applicants will receive a confirmation or denial of accreditation within 24 hours after that date. Credential pick-up will begin on Thursday, March 14, in the Marathon media center at the LA Convention Center, room 304B. Further information regarding race-week activities, along with race-day policies & procedures, will be forthcoming.
